Counselling where you can bring your baby!
-
Having a baby — especially your first — is a journey no one can truly prepare you for. It’s joyous, overwhelming, and an absolute shock to the system, right down to a cellular level. How it hits you is deeply individual and shaped by who you are, your circumstances, your genetics, and the story you’ve lived up to this point. I can only ever get a feel for what is going on for you, but my hope is to be a steady support during a time that may unravel things in ways you’ve never experienced before.
What I want to create with BYOBaby is a sanctuary for new mothers like yourself — a place you can come to in this wild chapter of your life as you are, with your baby. A space where I can hold your baby so you can drink the tea I’ll make you while it’s still hot (a rarity, as you’ve probably discovered by now). A space where your baby can be on the playmat between us while you process what’s happening for you, and where you can begin to find yourself as the mother you are naturally becoming — not the mother you are told to be, nor perhaps the mother you feared becoming. This is an opportunity to release any patterns from your own family that you may be ready to leave behind.
This is about having time for you, while still being with your baby. Having someone to hold your baby so you can reconnect with yourself — the person you were, the person you are, and the person you are becoming!

Inspired by the strength my mother and grandmother forged through their own struggles — I felt compelled to create a space that supports other mothers. It felt instinctive, almost obvious, that this would be my way of honouring the ancestral experiences and hardships carried by the women before me.

A safe space for you and your baby. Childcare should never be the obstacle that stops you from receiving the therapeutic support you might need right now.
Babies up until crawling age are welcome — so we can keep the focus on you rather than chasing a runaway explorer.
I’m here to hold your baby if that feels right for you — I only ask that you handle any bodily fluids they produce… and take nappies home with you afterwards ;-)
Not being honest about what motherhood is really like is the greatest disservice we do other women
