Therapy VS Counselling

I’m a fully qualified, BACP‑registered psychosynthesis therapist. I also use the word “counselling” because many people find it less intimidating. Although the terms are often used interchangeably in the UK, counselling and psychotherapy differ slightly in depth and duration. Counselling tends to focus on specific issues or life challenges, while therapy often explores deeper patterns, meaning, and long‑term transformation. My work naturally blends both — meeting you where you are, and going as deep as you feel ready to go.
